Welcome to “The Wedding Barn”
Have you just got engaged and looking for an unusual wedding venue – that’s not your standard hotel or country house? The Wedding Barn will make for a fun-filled wedding day – with a different, quirky and stylish celebration. Set within our own secluded valley and 16 acres of beautiful countryside, nestled between the Berwyn and Cambrian mountains in Mid Wales, with rolling hills and amazing views – all exclusively yours.
Sleep: Your guests can enjoy a great night’s sleep in the Farmhouse B&B, a canvas village of glamping tents, or stay in amazing local accommodation… All great options for you to offer your friends and family.
Eat: With delicious food, wine & fizz, great service and a barn filled with love, laughter and memories.
Celebrate: We can cater for weddings from just 2 (that’s you!) up to 400 guests, tailoring each part of the venue to suit.
If you were thinking about having your wedding somewhere rural and picturesque, that’s connected to nature and easily adaptable for your ideas, then Gwaenynog could be the perfect place for you… Want somewhere to have the ceremony and reception together in a relaxed environment, where you can have the added benefit of accommodating all your friends & family? And maybe for the whole weekend? With a festival wedding theme? And the possibility of an outdoor ceremony with fantastic views, watched over by Squirrels and Woodpeckers? Let your imagination (and budget) help you decide.
“The Wedding Barn” can accommodate 50 to 250 people for large events, with the option to extend to 400 using a marquee annex. For slightly smaller events, “The Dutch Barn” can accommodate up to 40/60 people, extendable up to 100 with a marquee annex. Or if you want a small, intimate wedding, our Farmhouse guest lounge can offer a ceremony for up to 20 people, with the reception in our Marquee Bar. It all depends on the type of wedding you want.
Or maybe you’d like an outdoor ceremony with fantastic views… Our “Mountain View” & “Woodland Glade” fields offer the option to hold a legal ceremony in one of the licensed venues (“The Wedding Barn”, “The Dutch Barn” or “Farmhouse Lounge”) followed by a blessing ceremony with all your guests, using our outdoor ceremony set-up. We have our own ceremony archway which we’ll cover in artificial ivy, but can be further enhanced with your own décor or wildflowers. Then choose straw bale seating etc. or add your own ideas.
A most important part of the day, of course, is actually getting married, which is the legal bit – and as we’re licensed to have this done here, you need to have the registrars come and carry out the ceremony. To contact them, click here and complete the form. You need to do this yourself, as it’s your wedding.
